Oral Presentation Suggestions
- Oral Presentations are scheduled in 10 minute blocks. Your presentation should be no longer than 5 minutes to allow 5 minutes for questions from the audience. Please rehearse.
- Introduction: 2-3 slides.
- Use an “attention getter”.
- Present Rationale or Importance of Study.
- Provide study question/hypothesis.
- Credit organization(s) funding study.
- Methods: 2- 4 slides.
- Design.
- Sampling – if relevant.
- Data collection process.
- Key variables.
- Analysis.
- Results: 1- 2 slides.
- Summary.
- Significance/relevance to policy, clinical practice.
