Public Shows 2025-2026.

Public planetarium shows, featuring the Digistar 7 projector, are scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 P.M. and Sundays at 2:30 P.M. and 4:00 P.M.

At the door admission prices for all shows are:

  • Adults, $5.50
  • Students and senior citizens, $5.00
  • Children (age 12 and under), $4.50
  • Friends of Abrams Planetarium Members, Free
  • Free with Museums For All (with valid EBT, medicaid, or WIC card and photo ID)
  • Museums for All
  • Tickets may be bought in advance online or at the door just before showtime. Online ticket purchases contain additional convenience fees.

A current sky talk using the Digistar projector will follow all shows.

Please note that once a show begins the planetarium doors are locked and there will be no late admittance for the safety and comfort of our visitors. Please be sure to arrive before the stated start time of your show.

Abrams Planetarium public shows have ended for the summer and will return in mid-September. The 2025-2026 show schedule will be posted by the end of August. The business office will be open normal hours during this time.



2025-2026 Show Schedule.

The Abrams Planetarium public show schedule for Fall 2025 through Summer 2026 will be posted soon. Each show is approximately 60 minutes long; a 30 minute recorded portion followed by a 30 minute live presentation of the current evening sky.


Planetarium Parking (Click for Map):

Weekends and weekdays after 6:00 pm free parking is available in the lot directly across the street from Abrams Planetarium (Lot 41). Weekdays from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm public parking for the planetarium is limited. Busses and other marked vehicles may park directly in front of the planetarium, in the bus loading zone while their presentation is being given. On weekdays the closest public parking to the planetarium is in the parking ramp directly behind the building (Shaw Lane Parking Ramp, Ramp 1/Lot 51). Public parking is in the basement sublevels and is Pay by Plate. For more information about Pay by Plate, please visit to the MSU Parking Services website.
