One of the many fragments of the asteroid that created Meteor Crater (also known as Barringer Crater), located in Arizona. It is estimated that the asteroid fell approximately 50,000 years ago. The meteorites have been known and used by pre-historic Indigenous Americans. The fragments have been collected and studied by the scientific community since the 19th century.
